De-cluttering your space in itself can have a calming effect. Remove distractions and
only place items that are calming, nurturing or functional in the space. Less is more.

It makes perfect sense to keep your yoga mat, blocks, bolster and straps in this space for ease of use and to help set the tone.
4. Use colour
Neutral and muted colours can have a calming effect on the mind and body. Bright and sharp colours can have the opposite effect and demand attention. So if you're looking for a project to keep you busy perhaps think about giving your space a lick of paint.
Lighting can have a massive effect on our mental health and focus. White and blue lights can have a harsh and negative effect on our mood and well-being, where as warm and yellow light has a nurturing and calming effect. Choose your lighting wisely, whether it's candles, installing dimmer switches, or placing a colourful scarf over your lampshades lighting is important. Even some soft cotton shades can bring a warm filter to the natural light.
6. Create that studio feel atmosphere
You know that instant ahhhh you feel when you walk into the studio? That's what you want to recreate. Gather up some good quality slow burning incense or your favourite essential oil blends and a diffuser, make your favourite tea and bask in the ooey gooey warmth you've just created.
7. Make it magic
Gather treasures from around your home maybe it's pictures, statues, books or indoor plants. Choosing the right accessories for your sanctuary will help serve as a focal point and keep things simple and intentional.
