Let's get started with the basics!
We'll ease in with some yoga philosophy, we're talking about the 8 limbs of yoga.
Learn about the all important Bandhas (energy locks that help support our physical practice)
We'll explore some pranayama (breath work), this week we'll dive into Ujjayi breath
Learn the asana (poses) and sequence of this week's flow Surya Namaskar A or Sun Salutation A
Welcome to your online platform
Remember to take your practice at your own pace and listen to your body at all times! If something doesn't feel right for you, if you've got an injury, illness or are pregnant pay particularly close attention to what your body is telling you. If you know something isn't right for you, skip it, try something else or come into child's pose.
This is your practice, listen to your body! Take rest when you need it.
If you've always stuck with beginner classes and want to try a vinyasa or sculpt class, please do so with caution and take rest when you need it.
