Gathering Online October 10 & 11 2020

First, a word of congratulations to you…

Because you are here, and that is something to be excited about.

I don't mean that you're here on this webpage, I mean that you are here—here on this amazing, complex, fragile-yet-thriving planet; here in your body breathing air and pumping blood and firing neurons; here in the room or space where you're reading this; here in your community, whatever that looks like online or off.

Here can be a hard thing to hold onto, especially when you're juggling all the things—working from home, virtual schooling, keeping up with the news, creating something to look forward to when it feels like fun itself has been cancelled.

And yet, practicing a sense of presence without judgement—truly being here—is one of the best tools to reconnect you with what you want, what really matters, and how to get there.

Imagine with me…

What if you could hit the pause button for a few hours and just be here?

What would it feel like to gently set down everything you're juggling and let your now-empty hands dig into the richness of this season?

I'd like to invite you to a place you can do just that—take a step back from all the doing, find a calm center and spend some time just being.

In that calm space, you'll check in with what's important to you—things that make you smile, stories that make you laugh, words that make you think and practices that will carry you into the fall season with comforting warmth and deep meaning.

You'll do all of this in the company of other wonderful humans who are interested in exploring what matters for them, too. There are no wrong answers or silly ideas here.

After our retreat—two live gatherings plus time to engage in your own mini-retreat—you'll step back into your life with more energy and a loving self-awareness. You'll have a greater capacity to navigate the weeks ahead and the tools you need to get back in touch with the here part of you whenever you need it.

How It Works

For one wonderful weekend on Saturday and Sunday, October 10 & 11, we will gather in the company of other awesome people to acknowledge where we are, what we're experiencing in this season of life, and to create space for what we need.

Here’s what you can expect:

  • A beautiful printable workbook filled with prompts and activities that we will walk through together on the day of.

  • A Saturday morning GoogleMeets gathering (9:30-11:30 a.m. AEST). I’ll guide us in some centering exercises. We’ll take time to get to know one another, tell our stories and experiment with our creativity. And you’ll dive into prompts and activities designed to help you create a meaningful mini-retreat experience for yourself.

  • Time to give yourself the mini-retreat you need. It can be as long or short as works for your schedule. We'll decide the details in our Saturday morning call, and whatever you choose to do, you'll know that it's a loving gift from yourself.

  • A Sunday morning closing celebration on GoogleMeets (9:30-10:30 a.m. AEST). The group will reconvene to share what we did and what we learned, and to celebrate showing up for ourselves in this meaningful way! We'll wrap it all up with a closing ceremony.

What will we do during the retreat? How much time should I block off during the weekend?

Our Saturday morning gathering (9:30-11:30 a.m. AEST) will begin with time to get to know one another, plus some guided centring, creative activities and opportunities to share stories. Then we’ll move into a time of reflection and planning, what I like to think of as the “choose-your-own-adventure” part because this is where you can shape your own experience. Put together all of the activities which will help you to learn a little more about yourself and the tools you can call on to reconnect with yourself whenever you need it.

During the rest of the day on Saturday you will move back into the rhythm of your life, but with the invitation to take some time for yourself before our final gathering. You’ll have a concrete and personalised plan for that ‘me time,’ which could be anywhere from 30 minutes to several hours, depending on what you need.

On Sunday morning we will gather one more time (9:30-10:30 a.m. AEST) to share our experiences, celebrate what we’ve created together and wrap up our retreat in a really beautiful way.

If I can't attend the Zoom calls, will there be a replay?

No, this is a live event that focuses on real-time interaction, storytelling, sharing and explanation.

Can I invite my mother / sister / BFF?

Of course! In fact, if you register two attendees at once (select the double ticket option below), you'll each get $5 off your ticket! Just be sure to include the name and email address of your +1 in the form when you check out so they'll receive the workbook and GoogleMeets links!

What happens after I sign up?

Once you click the final button, you’ll receive a confirmation email with all of the details you submitted. A day or two before the event, I’ll send you an email with the PDF workbook, GoogleMeets links and instructions for our day together.

Can I get a refund if I cannot complete the program?

Due to the nature of this program, there will be no refunds given—full or partial—at any time. Think of it like buying a ticket to your favorite live concert—you’re purchasing a seat in that arena, whether you show up or not.

What if my question isn’t answered here?
